Arthur and I joined Joe Langham of the Sierra Club on Saturday June 26th for the Hands Across the Sand event. We gathered by the railroad terminal in Liberty State Park in Jersey City. It was a great group of people, and we hope they'll join us in future MoveOn actions.

BP Rally makes evening commute worthwhile

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf1KS7I5FZ4

We held up our signs and chanted "Make BP Pay" and "Honk for Clean Energy" as evening commuters honked in approval. We had a good time, and met new friends. Passing the Big Oil Bailout Prevention Act will ensure that Oil Companies, not Taxpayers, will pay for damages from oil spills.

Stay tuned, because we'll be gathering people together to tackle the root of the problem: Money, not Ideas currently determine our government's policies.

RALLY AGAINST BP BAILOUT JUNE 10th 3PM-8PM HOLLAND TUNNEL (NJ EXIT)

The BP oil spill in the Gulf has claimed 11 human lives, destroyed the Gulf's ecosystem for years, ruined the livelihoods of thousands and continues to get worse. Yet BP will pay less than 1% of the cost, and US taxpayers will pay the rest, unless we act now.

We are planning a rally at the Holland Tunnel on Thursday 6/10 to demand that BP is held accountable for the DeepWater oil spill.
